The All Progressives Congress (APC) USA chapter is mourning the passing of Professor Francis Osita Onukwuli, Sr., a distinguished educator, leader, and founding member who departed on November 27, 2024. Born on August 5, 1955, Professor Onukwuli was a driving force behind the APC USA chapter, serving as the First National Publicity Secretary.
Throughout his illustrious career, Professor Onukwuli demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and commitment to the community. His remarkable achievements include:
-Leadership Roles: First Secretary General and second President of the Igbo Union, Atlanta, USA, and first President of Idemili United of Atlanta, Georgia.
– Founding Member: Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) USA.
– Collaborations: Worked alongside notable executives, including Professor Adesegun Labinjo, Chief Emeka Molokwu, Dr. Ismaila Maigyara, Honorable Khairat Animashaun-Ajiboye, Dr. Elizabeth Olagunju, Honorable Kunle Masha, and Judge Dele Alade.
The APC USA family is deeply saddened by Professor Onukwuli’s passing and extends heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. His unwavering commitment to the party’s vision and values will be deeply missed.
A requiem service will be held in Jonesboro, Georgia, on February 7, 2025, to honor Professor Onukwuli’s life and legacy. He will be laid to rest in his motherland, Nigeria, as per his family’s wishes.
