Last Friday, Ibadan bid farewell to one of its most revered sons, Chief Mueez Adegboyega Akande, a philanthropist, politician, devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and High Chief of Ibadan. The burial ceremonies, which began on October 23, were a testament to his profound impact on the community.
Burial Ceremonies
The festivities kicked off with a White Disco Party at Manhattan Hall, beside Signature Tower, Eleyele, on October 23. This was followed by a Christian Wake Keeping at Winners State Headquarters, Bashorun, between 4-5 pm. Finally, Chief Akande was laid to rest on the Friday 23rd October, 2024 at a private cemetery.
